It was another great year judging the trick participants at the 2019 National Dog Show at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.
A record number 11,008 dogs were there to compete in the variety of events held there over December 14th and 15th. Not only did you have 5,284 of the most beautiful dogs in the world competing in the conformation competition, but also the top dogs came together for the Agility Invitationals, the Obedience Classic, the Juniors Classic, NADD/AKC Dock Diving National Championship and there was soooo much more to keep your dog loving brain busy during the long weekend.
Wasabi, a young 18 month old Pekingese just starting his career, took Best In Show at this, the biggest dog show in North America!
I had the amazing opportunity again, to be asked to judge the new sport of Trick Dog in the demo ring for it’s 2nd year of appearance at the National Dog Show hosted by Royal Canin. A huge congratulations go to all those that competed and we hope to make it even bigger and better in the years to come. I’ve put some pictures on here of some of the fun we had this weekend. It was so nice to have all breeds of dogs, puppies and even junior handlers getting involved in this passion of mine.
I also had the great opportunity to be interviewed by Kelly O’Donnell (man, is he tall!) of AKC.TV, so if you want to catch coverage of all the goings on at the show, be sure to visit there and get all caught up…and keep your eye’s peeled for me at the judge’s helm there!
So if you have never attended this AMAZING show, put it on your calendars for next year. It is held every December at the Orange County Convention Center…next years dates: Saturday and Sunday, December 12th and 13th, 2020. I hope to see you all there!!
